Marissa & Patrick

We had the pleasure of working with Marissa & Patrick for this wedding which took place right on the warm cusp of fall at the picturesque Cliffs at Glassy. We adored this couple- and we weren’t the only ones! We worked with wedding planner Cortney Jackson of Asheville Event Co. who told us about a Pennsylvania tradition these two held at their reception. Each guest is asked to bring cookies for the party to be displayed on a prominent table. The more cookies accumulate, the more evidence of everyone’s love for the two sweethearts. Cortney told us that by the end of the night they had to find a second table to accommodate all the sweets and even then they were spilling over! We would have been happy to bring a whole pile of cookies ourselves.

Marissa’s colors were a lush mix of rich turquoise, fall oranges, and the bride’s favorite color- purple. The unusual palette reflected the warmth of the bridal party and injected brightness to the occasion to match the joyful atmosphere.

The bouquets were a textural mix of frilly hydrangeas and garden roses, with sleek orchids and calla lilies. The bridesmaids’ bouquets were ringed by a halo of honeysuckle vine.

We assembled an impressive gateway of honeysuckle vine and curly willow for the entrance to the chapel, accented by hanging arrangements.
