Stephanie & Josh

We have a bit of whimsey and romance to show you from what will surely be a favorite of ours for autumns to come. Stephanie and Josh lured us out of Asheville for their nuptials at the Graylyn Estate in Winston-Salem with an event so full of saturated color, personal details, and carefully considered specifics, we just couldn’t love them more. While Josh was serving in the military, the couple wrote love notes to each other. They let us print their writing on paper and we used these pages to make flowers that we included throughout their ceremony. Mark Potter Photography shared these incredible shots with us.

MPP_4860-Edit-Edit-Edit Can you believe this gorgeous couple? Gorgeous dress? Gorgeous fall weather?MPP_5250-Edit For the girls’ bouquets we used an earthy mix of creme-de-la-creme roses, garden roses, seaded eucalyptus, calla lilies, and lace fabric flowers.Untitled-1Untitled-2For Stephanie’s luscious, saturated bouquet, we gathered a variety of velvety red roses, burgundy cymbidium orchids, and the sweet, beautiful, adorable love note flowers. Untitled-3Have we mentioned yet that the couple are huge Lord of the Rings fans? The guys’ boutonnieres were attached to recognizable brooches from the movie trilogy. (You know, the leaf brooches given to the fellowship to hold their grey elven cloaks?! Yeah, we’re fans, too.) Also worth noting- our sister store Baggie Goose printed the couple’s invitations and programs.MPP_5639-Edit MPP_5642-Edit MPP_5649-EditThe reception featured varying table-scapes filled with candle light. Some had vintage candelabras, some had mercury glass with floral details, and some had floating candles in cylinders wrapped in lace.MPP_5886-Edit-EditWe at Blossoms know that a good design, much like relationship, embraces all of a couple’s best quirks. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to work with you both!
